Pretty Fly- Project One
WANTED: A highly motivated individual who is able to diagnose, revise, and rework marketing materials for our large company. If our company finds that you can help improve our marketing program, there is a possibility of being hired into our marketing sector. Bring to a scheduled interview the original marketing flyer, your revised flyer, and a professional document outlining what you have changed and why as well as why we consider you as an addition to our company.
Part I: The Flyer
Using either a computer or your own two hands, create a new flyer based on a flyer of your choice. Correct any problems you identify based on our class discussions, as well as your own perceptions. Your final product should communicate all the important information to its audience in an effective way.
Part II: The Professional Document
After you've analyzed and revised the flyer of youyr choice, you will complase a brief, professional document to the organization that originally produced the flyer. this document should, given your audience, offer constructive criticism by offering how or why the original flyer was ineffective, explaining the changes you have made, persuading the reader why the new flyer is more effective, and why this company should hire you. Make sure to write to your audience. This means using appropriate language and sticking to the conventions of your genre so that your purpose is best understood.
What is the purpose of the flyer? Given its audience, does the flyer serve its purpose or is it just a waste of paper?
Who is the target audience of the flyer? Clear useful contact information
Is the right information on the flyer? Visually stimulating
Layout and design Images and color usage
Grading:
Half of your evaluation will come from the process of creating your two final pieces, while the other half will focus on the final product itself. Because of this, you are required to turn in all rough drafts, revised drafts, and related class work with your final product. DON'T THROW ANYTHING AWAY! I will give you a checklist so you know which items to turn in for your final product folder.
